The School's research output mainly takes the form of journal articles and conference papers. However, starting with the Newcastle Connection (955K pdf), considerable international recognition has been achieved by software we have produced. Many hundreds of copies of the Arjuna distributed programming system have been distributed world-wide. ICL used it for the EDS (a forerunner to Goldrush).
We have a well-established technical report series, which we use in report interchange agreements with many other departments. We also hold abstracts of many PhD theses, and MSc Dissertations.
