Abstract

The paper describes a one-pass Algol 60 translator for the English Electric KDF9 Computer. The reasons for choosing a strictly one-pass system are detailed, and particular attention is given to the transation techniques necessary for such a system. A final section deals with the communication betwee Algol programs and programmer.
